Because sometimes I have to say it even though no one may be listening.

Some things to know about me:
I am owned by a French Bulldog, Miss Izzie, check out her blog frenchiesrule.tumblr.com.
I like to spend my time reading, travelling, swimming and going to the cinema.

French is my first language and I adore French and British stuff.

One of the elephants I adopted three years ago died today.  They think it had something to do with her bone marrow. She first became sick in January but in the end there was nothing that could be done for her.  October 2010 I stood in her stall and petted her back while she drank from a bottle - she was about the size of a small pony.
It seems strange to be upset about an animal half a world away - but that’s how I roll.

This is Lynn and the baby she had this morning in Kenya.  That is a baby giraffe! They did not even know she was pregnant.

People if you haven’t seen this movie, put it in your Netflix queue.
It is so beautiful and so inspiring and proves even the smallest thing can change lives.

Why is this day not over yet?
Let’s take a breath and look at an adorable baby elephant.

I was so glad to see this updated story on my adopted elephant, Olare.  Once she graduated from the orphanage last year I did not expect to get any more updates.  But look how she is thriving making me so happy for the opportunity to meet and help this beautiful ellie.

A picture of health and happiness; the Nairobi orphans forming their own little herd in the bush. How different it would have been for these elephants without the intervention of rescuers on the ground, The DSWT and those people who donate to support elephants and our efforts - thank you all so much. Just look at some of the lives you are helping us to save!
Elephants! Elephants!
