Because sometimes I have to say it even though no one may be listening.

Some things to know about me:
I am owned by a French Bulldog, Miss Izzie, check out her blog frenchiesrule.tumblr.com.
I like to spend my time reading, travelling, swimming and going to the cinema.

French is my first language and I adore French and British stuff.

Need to do this - what if I asked him to come spend the day with us Acorns because we worship him so here?

I choose to dream that this is me in an alternative universe.

Because I am impatient and can’t wait until January to see it on PBS, not to mention it will make perfect Christmas viewing, I just bought this from Amazon UK!

I was wrong in my post on Saturday about Downton Abbey.  I was given information that has since been refuted, as you will see in the two articles below.
There may be a few changes between the UK and the US versions, but it is basically the same show and that is good as it is bloody brilliant.  Everyone is excellent especially the incredible Dame Maggie Smith (she has the best lines).

And if you like Downton Abbey and live in the US be sure to check out the 40th Anniversary Complete Collection of Upstairs, Downstairs on DVD March 29.

Currently watching the British DVD of Downton Abbey before the “dumbed down” US version starts tomorrow night on PBS.
Just a little side comment - this DVD is not well done, there are no running times on any of the discs or packaging.  No episode selection, just scene selection and I had quite a time turning on the subtitles.
But I really enjoy Hugh Bonneville and there a dozens more “downstairs” folks than Upstairs, Downstairs. Alas, no Ruby nor Hudson.
