Because sometimes I have to say it even though no one may be listening.
Some things to know about me:
I am owned by a French Bulldog, Miss Izzie, check out her blog frenchiesrule.tumblr.com.
I like to spend my time reading, travelling, swimming and going to the cinema.
French is my first language and I adore French and British stuff.
Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
This is the only time Andy will ever be compared to George Clooney.
I was supposed to see Andy tonight to exchange stuff and settle our bill from our trip. I cancelled as I just couldn’t see him. He wants to reschedule for Saturday and I am on the fence.
Instead my mother took me to see The Descendants tonight. A movie I was not eager to see, but went anyway. I did not love the movie and I never expected I would. It even made Hawaii look depressing and it just really knocked into me that LIFE is HARD in so many ways and scary and challenges us at every turn.
But then I just kept staring at George Clooney and all I could see was a man who is a commitment phobe. How many women has he dated? He has always been clear that he never wants to get married, he never wants children. But each of these new girlfriends must think “I am going to be the one he changes for, he is going to love me forever.” but then in about 6-9 months she is no more. I kept wondering when is Stacey Keibler going to get the bad news?
Andy claims we had the most amazing 6 months and he loved every minute, but he is not in for the long haul just like Clooney and that is what I am dealing with. BUT at least six months with Clooney would have been trips to Lake Como, Mexico, film festivals and awards shows!
Life moves on. I just bought my tickets to my French film festival in NYC in March. I have had some wonderful life experiences amongst some rough ones and I hope that life continues to surprise me.
